The Blue Pearl Kata Hotel

The rooftop pool is small but cosy, and when we were there it was easy to get a lounger or have the pool to ourselves. You get a great city view from up there, and from the loungers we could see parasailing over Kata beach in the distance. Free towels were available to take to the beach, too. The hotel is right by Kata Street food market and a short walk from the beaches, making it a good choice around Karon/Kata in Phuket. We stayed 11 nights in September/October 2025. We'd booked a Superior Room without a balcony, but the receptionist upgraded us for free on arrival, which was a great start. The reception team were friendly and welcoming from day one, always greeting us morning and evening and answering our questions. The cleaning team checked each day whether we wanted the room serviced, and did a great job. It was spotless whenever we got back. Our room had two single beds pushed together with a double mattress topper, so it worked like a double. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the air conditioner was quiet and worked well. There was a large balcony with a table and two chairs, which we used in the evenings to eat and have beer together, plus a drying rack. Inside, we had a kettle, fridge, TV, space for suitcases and clothes, and hangers. The bathroom was spacious with good shower pressure, and the sink was just outside it. Really enjoyed the stay, and thanks to the friendly staff.

We had a good stay and the rooms were clean. The hotel is central, easy to find, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. Just a heads-up, the booking site said toiletries were provided, but there was no toothbrush or toothpaste. 10/10 for the hotel.

The busy market nearby was noisy and smelly, so this isn't a place I'd choose for a quiet, relaxing break. For three guests they provided just 1 ltr of water, and when I asked for more in the middle of the night, they refused even though they had bottles and I was willing to pay. The staff seemed not to trust guests. They collected a security deposit before check-in and made us wait before checkout while they checked that nothing was broken. There was a rate card for every small or large item in the room, with charges if something was broken or didn't work. They even listed 20,000 Baht if the AC doesn't work. Better avoid this hotel if you want peace of mind.

We had a really good stay. The room, facilities, and staff were all lovely, with daily cleaning and a very comfortable, clean bed. Everyone was nice, especially the girl with braces and the one who helped us check in. You were both so kind and always smiling. Keep up the good work! I'd recommend this place to anyone coming to Kata.
