Touch Sea Boutique Hotel&Bistro

Visited 18 Mar 2026 at about 3 pm. The food wasn't for me. The soup had an unfamiliar taste, and the dish called red curry paste was actually a green curry. They brought food over and asked whether we'd ordered it or someone else had, and they also delivered other people's food to us and mine to someone else. Prices are twice as high as places 300 m farther into the island. I'm kind of a greedy man, but I couldn't finish either of my two dishes. I wasn't poisoned, and the hot chocolate was good, so this isn't a one-star review.

The place was breezy and pleasant for a meal. I ordered grilled fish, which I understand takes 20 minutes or more, but the portions were small. We also ordered shrimp fried rice, and after waiting almost as long as we had for the fish, we found the restaurant had forgotten to make it. That wasn't okay.

The staff are attentive, friendly, and always smiling, and the restaurant is open to the public with good food at fair prices. The hotel itself is simple and clean, with a garden and swimming pool. It's between Karon Beach and Kata, with the beach just across the street and everything along the way toward Kata within walking distance. The new property has renovated a few rooms, which are comfortable and have everything you need. This is my third happy stay here.

This is just about the restaurant. The cocktails are good, and the food is good too, though nothing special for the price. Most menu items don't come in a spicy version. Paying by credit card adds 3.5%. Prices are a bit above average, and it can get quite noisy because you're sitting next to the road, though that adds to the atmosphere.
