The rooftop is a nice place to get away from the busy streets, with a pool open until 9:00 PM and a bar where you can have a drink and enjoy the view. For breakfast, there’s an optional buffet for THB 200 per person. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well equipped, with a kettle, cups, and glasses, plus a bathtub in the bathroom. Patong 77 Hotel & Spa is next to Bangla Boxing Club, about 700 meters from Patong Beach and 400 meters from Bangla Road, which makes getting to the beach or nightlife easy.

We booked four rooms for our group of six, and left with a very poor impression. At check-in, the reception staff were unwelcoming, communicated badly, and seemed unprofessional. After a long trip, we expected a friendly greeting, but felt ignored and uncomfortable instead. The worst part was check-out. We politely asked for a receptionist’s name because of what had happened, and she got defensive and argued with us. That was shocking and completely out of line for customer service. As guests who had reserved four rooms, we expected basic respect and courtesy, but the reception team fell short of even that. We rarely post negative reviews, but management should address this and improve the front desk team’s customer service training. We won’t return and can’t recommend the hotel.

The convenient location was the only part I found acceptable. The room, cleanliness, and general condition looked nothing like the photos, which felt misleading, and mosquitoes made it hard to rest or sleep. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout the stay. When we asked the front desk for basic things like tissues and drinking water, they acted as though the request was unreasonable. From arrival to departure, it was stressful instead of relaxing, like paying to suffer. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. I’d strongly suggest avoiding this place.

The location made it easy to walk to Patong Beach, and both the room and washroom were clean and well maintained. The hotel also kept in touch well from the time I booked through Agoda. Airport pickup and drop-off were arranged for 800 THB one way, which was convenient. I paid at the hotel on arrival and had no issues. Just be aware there’s a 1000 THB security deposit at check-in, and the hotel may charge if you spill or damage something. I had a very positive stay and would recommend it.
