Hotel on Hilltop

I paid for the reservation, but there was no room available. The hotel also looked much worse than the photos and clearly wasn't maintained. Very bad.

I wanted to stay here, but I couldn't find the place.

We walked away and left the 1200 baht we'd paid online. My boyfriend and I couldn't stay there. I'd booked online after seeing what looked like a great hotel, but the actual place was nothing like that. The staff were rude, and the hotel was old and unbelievably dirty. The seating area was unusable, covered in dust and gecko droppings. I've never seen a hotel this filthy. Even 300 baht wouldn't have felt worth it. Just awful.

The location was pleasant and quiet, but getting to the hotel meant passing aggressive dogs, sometimes three to five at once. I carried rocks with me. The pool was tiny, with a smoking area right beside it, which was really bad. The photos don't match reality. It felt like the hotel was built around eight years ago and photographed then, with little done since. Everything was run-down, there was mold everywhere, and the room was damp. When I unfolded the bed at night, the sheets smelled like a sweaty man. The gym was in poor shape too, with a moldy smell and rusty equipment. The photos put it on the top floor, but it was actually in a damp basement. I'm attaching photos so you can see what I mean.
