Psu Lodge

The housekeeper was wonderful and even folded my laundry, so I gave her my 30 USD room security deposit as a tip. The front desk staff were also amazing and found ways to help with anything I needed, whether I looked professional in a suit or more like a bum. Some staff didn’t speak English, while others did, but they still helped. I was surprised by how clean and comfortable PSU Lodge was. After a little over a few weeks there, I moved to a hotel near Patong Beach that cost twice as much and wasn’t nearly as good. PSU was cleaner and newer, and it didn’t have ants. It felt like a 15 dollar hotel room in Cambodia. I was in Phuket for business at Prince of Songkla university and had been advised to stay there. It was my first time in Thailand, though I’d been to Cambodia about seven times. I’d recommend PSU Lodge if you’re visiting Phuket to relax and travel, but not if you’re there to get wasted and party like an animal.

The grounds around the campus still feel fresh, and you can walk around or exercise there. There’s a sports hall for tennis and badminton, plus a swimming pool and football. PSU Lodge is part of Prince of Songkla university, and the rooms are clean and very nice. At 800 baht a night, about Rp350.000 in Rupiah, it was worth it.

The room style has been updated, and the long stay price is good value. Although the place is described as being among mountain views, the Wi-Fi is strong and stable, and there’s no bad pollution around.
