Sensive Hill Villas

There are a lot of stairs, so I wouldn’t suggest this place for anyone with a disability, though after two days I barely noticed them. It’s also somewhat remote and up a hill, so having a car is a good idea. The staff were very nice, and the restaurant was great. It was some of the best Thai food we ate here. We visited during low season and got to know the "photographer" and his wife.

It’s a peaceful place to unwind, especially if you want to get away from city noise, but it’s a long way from Phuket’s beaches. Frequent taxi rides to Patong beach add up. I stayed two nights, and most staff were helpful and did their best when told what we needed. The service was good, though not everyone spoke English, so communication took patience. The taxi driver spoke English better and recommended a travel agency with low-priced tour packages. Facilities are basic, so don’t expect too much. The beds and pillows were clean, and they provided shower gel and shampoo, but no toothbrush or toothpaste, which was puzzling.

The villas are older and sit in a quiet part of Kathu. The outside areas look neglected and need attention and updating.

The room was a nice size, and the place itself was good. Just know the kitchen isn't really set up for proper cooking.
