The walls are thin, and parties on Khao San road go on all night. If you sleep lightly, the Khao San road area probably isn't for you. The setup is very basic, with a fan room for 400 baht or an AC room for 500, so I'd choose the AC. The shower and toilet share one space. It's a good price, especially if you like the Kho San road party scene, but that's not really my thing.

We needed somewhere affordable to rest for a night before heading back to Phnom Penh. Khaosan Road is close by for a night out, and the bus station is an easy walk away, which was handy with Bangkok traffic.

A cheap, basic place to sleep while exploring the city and nearby streets. Nights can get pretty loud, and most rooms use a shared bathroom and toilet outside.

Very clean for a cheap place, including the bathroom and toilet. The sheets were clean and there were no bed bugs. You can choose a fan room or air-conditioning, but there wasn't anywhere to hang clothes, not even a wall hook.

The street restaurant also sells tasty padthai and other dishes. For backpackers, the price is reasonable for a few days, and the staff are lovely. Just don't expect much from the room itself.
