Tinidee Golf Resort Phuket

Staying at Tinidee came with golf discounts at Loch Palm and Red Mountain, which was the biggest plus for me. Staff were generally kind and helpful, though a few had bad attitudes, like rolling their eyes when someone took time choosing drinks. I’ve noticed the great hospitality Thai people used to show tourists seems to be fading. The rooms on the first level of Building 2 smelled moldy. The golf suite balcony had rat droppings on it every morning, and the walls are thin, so noisy neighbors can really be a problem.

The area is beautiful and surrounded by nature, and the staff were nice to us. It’s a little far from shops and tourist spots, though, and there was a clear language barrier that sometimes made it hard for them to understand us. We had the American breakfast and it was fine. But near the end of our stay, we ordered Thai basil fried rice with chicken by the pool. My partner and I both got severe food poisoning, and our stomachs stayed irritated for two weeks. I’d be careful about eating at the hotel restaurant. That meal ruined our experience at the resort.

The place itself is great, but the rooms feel old and a bit run-down. The air conditioner also seems dated and has a noticeable moldy smell.

A1 or A2 are nice choices for a peaceful, quiet stay. Most of the staff are very friendly. The Wi-Fi could use improvement.
