Tinidee Hotel At Phuket

The location felt far from everything in Phuket, with no attractions nearby. The internet was awful and kept disconnecting, and breakfast was a letdown: a very limited menu, plus an extra charge for a plain piece of toast. Staff were rude and unprofessional. None spoke any English, they did nothing about our complaint, and one man yelled at and harassed me. The front desk didn’t seem to care or know anything about him. It was a terrible stay, and this place doesn’t deserve to be called a four-star hotel. Definitely not recommended.

I’m a woman, and during my stay I went to the hotel gym to work out. A man there who wasn’t a hotel guest, just someone who comes to use the gym, spoke to me in an extremely rude and aggressive way. I felt intimidated, unsafe and shaken. I reported it to reception right away, but they did nothing to support me or protect my safety. It’s shocking that an outsider could use the facilities and confront paying guests, especially women, without basic respect or self-control. For a hotel of this level, I expected professionalism, accountability and a safe environment. Instead, I felt ignored and unprotected. Very disappointing and not recommended.

This felt more like an unsupervised public place than a hotel with proper services. A stranger in the gym yelled at my family for no reason. The front desk staff couldn’t speak English and told me the person was a daily visitor, but they had no information about him and showed no interest in helping. They charge triple for things that would be complimentary at any hotel. The internet disconnects every minute, and the customer service is a joke. This place doesn’t deserve to be called a hotel, let alone get a single star.

The food situation was the biggest letdown. Breakfast changed from a small buffet one morning to a limited menu the next because there weren’t enough guests for a buffet, and nothing was open for dinner, so we had to drive out for food or groceries. Our golf times had also been moved because of a competition, but we only found out after arriving, even though we booked through the official website and had requested specific slots. The room had its own problems: the air conditioning took ages to cool things down, the hot water fluctuated during showers, the beds were hard, and the balcony smelled. We were given just one key, apparently for environmental reasons. There’s no lift, and although I asked for a ground-floor room because stairs are difficult for me, they said none were available, yet my friend was somehow given one. My two nights at Tinidee were disappointing from the start. I know it’s more of a chalet and have probably stayed in worse, but with nearby hotels and restaurants available, I’m unlikely to come back. I am still interested in trying the much bigger Tinidee in Bangkok.
