Ingkho Khao Kho อิงค้อ เขาค้อ

The rooms are very spacious, and all the staff were kind. There’s a fridge in the lobby, and they let me store a couple of things there. I also liked the sweet lobby cat. My bathroom was right beside room #1, so it didn’t really feel shared. The bed and pillows had the usual Thai firmness, and the table and chairs were so small there was nowhere to put my luggage. A folding luggage rack would help, but those are minor complaints. I’d happily come back and hope I get the chance. Khun Angkarn was very responsive on FB Messenger, answering all my many questions about rooms, the area, local buses, and other things even though English wasn’t comfortable for him. He lent me an extension cord so I could work on my laptop on the nice second-floor balcony overlooking the misty mountains. He also connected me with a local who arranged a wonderful driver for the beautiful sights around Phetchabun. When I told him I was traveling alone, he gave me Thai text to show the bus driver so I could get off closer than the official Khaem Soen stop, where I’d bought my ticket from Phitsanulok. He offered the use of his personal bicycle and help renting a motorbike, then took me and my luggage by motorbike to the bus stop for the next leg of my trip. The little hotel is easy to reach from the frontage road beside the highway. It isn’t a busy highway, so there wasn’t much noise, and even if you miss the turn there are plenty of turnarounds in both directions.
