Having to haul all our bags up the stairs to the first floor was the worst part, since reception is up there. There was no air conditioning in the lobby, reception, or the walkway to the rooms. The receptionist was smoking outside with the door open, and when we came to the desk he didn't move until I rang the bell. I booked based on the Booking.com score, but it felt completely misleading. An 8.1 rating seems unrealistic when other nearby hotels below 7.5 give a much better experience. I can't recommend this hotel at all. Very disappointing.

The rooms were clean and service was good. Just remember to bring cash.

The place itself is nice, but at 1,250 Baht per night I expected a lot more. If you're staying here to visit Thammasat U, the location is a problem. Getting back from TU means driving over 10KM to make a U-turn.
