The manager's way of treating people overshadowed the rest of the stay. He was repeatedly rude and condescending with guests, speaking in a dismissive, disrespectful tone that felt unprofessional. I also saw him speak harshly to staff in front of guests, which made the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable. It showed poor leadership and a lack of hospitality. The property is old and undergoing renovation. Some rooms, particularly the private pool ones, are quite nice and better maintained, but the standard rooms felt very average for their price. The facilities and finishes are dated and the value disappointing. Renovation can't fix the manager's attitude, and while management stays this way, the experience will keep suffering.

The property is well maintained, and the rooms matched the Agoda listing photos. The beach is only 60 to 100 meters away, and Seven-11 is an easy walk. It's a good spot if you want Krabi's quieter beaches and want to avoid crowded Ao Nang. There's no food at the property, but you can buy ingredients outside and cook in the kitchen. The water flow was slow, and the toiletries could be better for a place of this standard. Service could improve, though the manager was very supportive and kind, so special thanks to him. Ao Nang is about 8 km away. Tooks were costly, while Bolt Cabs came to almost 50% less. We had a great stay overall.

There's a lot of potential here, with spacious rooms, but the place felt abandoned and wasn't quite right. We didn't see a proper lobby, and during our three-day trip the only staff member we saw was a cleaning lady, who also had us pay in the room, which was odd. There was no daily housekeeping. On arrival, the bathroom and towels were dirty and the floors dusty. We raised it with staff, but they only gave the bathrooms a vague, partial clean. I came away with mixed feelings.

The location suited us well because we weren't after a busy area, and the local beach has lots of nice restaurants. A taxi to Ao Nang took 20 minutes and cost around 200 each way. We had a good time, though the sewer smell was unpleasant. It came from the floor drains in the apartment. Staff were helpful when we reported it and did something that cleared it for a few days, but the odor returned just before our final night. Pelican left us with mixed feelings. There's plenty of floor space, the interior finish is nice, and the resort pool is great for swimming.

The pictures on the website looked so different from what we found. We were worried about safety and couldn't get peace of mind. There was no receptionist on duty, the fire safety door was left open, and the entire place seemed deserted, with no occupants in the other units. The advertised facilities weren't there, and strange noises went on through the night.
