Coco Nori at Sea Hotel

Getting to Ao Nang, Tonsai, Railey, and some incredibly beautiful beaches from here is easy. The hotel is also close to the beach and lots of restaurants. For the price, it’s a good place to stay, with very good service and a kind, helpful owner and staff.

For what you get, the price is high. It felt more like a hostel than a modern hotel, and it wasn’t very clean.

For 8 euros a day, it was fine. The place is great and cheap, so I can understand why the room looks the way it does, though it did have some mold.

The room had old, heavily used furniture, and some of the plugs had no power. I also had trouble getting plugs to connect properly. Water was limited, so the shower only worked after noon. In the morning there was no water for a shower. I had asked for a non-smoking room but was given a smoking one, and they said no other room was available. It was 9 pm and I was tired, so what choice did I have? I’d also requested two queen beds, but got two single beds while paying the queen-bed price. At check-in I was told they only accepted cash, even though I’d booked with my credit card and hadn’t seen any notice of this during booking. Because of that, I had to cut my planned 18-night stay down to 7 nights and tell the hotel in the lobby that same day. Nobody at the lobby spoke English. I tried contacting Agoda several times, but got no answer or solution after chatting with AI and hearing excuses. The photos online don’t show the full reality of the place. There’s no phone number to call if your flight is delayed and you need to say you’re on the way. Hotels with integrity don’t hide their number to avoid contact or questions. I’m not sure this place deserves two stars.
