The Nature Phuket

The rooftop bar is a relaxing place in the evening, usually with a nice cool breeze. The hotel itself is quiet, and there's a shuttle to the centre of Patong Beach four times a day. The ride takes about 15 minutes. Our room had pool access from the balcony, and the swimming pools were really good. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and nicely laid out. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the restaurants were very nice and affordable. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, especially the room cleaning team.

The three pools were a nice feature, and the mango smoothie was great. There’s a 7/11, laundry, and money exchange nearby, and the locals were welcoming. The area is Muslim-friendly. The location is quiet, about a five-minute ride into Patong along a scenic coastal road, and the hotel has a pleasant outdoor feel with modern rooms. Our stay was still disappointing. We were assigned Building 8, a long walk from the entrance with several flights of stairs, and buggy pick-ups or drop-offs were rarely available. Breakfast felt very limited unless you wanted Thai food early in the morning. Apart from eggs, there wasn’t much that suited us, which was disappointing for a hotel of this level. Food and drinks ordered for the room or by the pool had to be paid for straight away instead of being charged to the room, which was annoying. The distance from the entrance, poor transport around the resort, and breakfast made the experience less enjoyable than expected.

Dear Management Team, I’m writing about several problems during my recent stay, which didn’t meet the standards I expected from a five-star hotel. The room needed maintenance. The shower flooded when we used it, and the sink drained very slowly. We reported both problems, but they weren’t effectively fixed while we were there. Breakfast was acceptable, though below what I’d expect at this level. There was no drinking water without ice, and basic things like dried fruit and nuts weren’t available. The most upsetting issue came early one morning when my wife became ill and was vomiting. I usually carry emergency medicine, but didn’t have anti-sickness tablets with me this time. I called reception for help getting medication from a pharmacy. I understand staff may not be allowed to leave the property, but when I asked for a 24/7 pharmacy contact, I was told there weren’t any and that we’d have to wait until 9:00 am. I felt there was little concern or willingness to help in a distressing situation. I was told a doctor could be called if her condition worsened, at a cost of 5,000 THB. My son is a doctor and advised that anti-sickness medicine from a pharmacy would be enough. I searched online myself and found several pharmacies open 24/7. One replied through its website and helpfully arranged to send the medicine by taxi. I also asked reception to call a taxi so I could go look for a pharmacy, but they told me to go outside and find one on the street. At night, in an unfamiliar area, I wasn’t comfortable doing that. It felt as though guests who become unwell are left to cope alone. I’ve already raised this with management and asked someone to contact me. I hope to hear back and see steps taken to improve the service and care for guests.

Breakfast was a highlight: a generous buffet with different choices each day, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and it never felt overcrowded. The service and thoughtful details made our stay memorable, and we’ll definitely return. Before arrival, communication with the hotel was excellent. They arranged airport pick-up and surprised my husband with a birthday cake and room decorations. After our long journey, check-in was easy and a buggy took us straight to the room. We stayed in a pool access room in the jungle wing, which was perfect for cooling off in the heat and swimming over to the swim-up bar. The waiter there was professional, attentive, and lovely to chat with. The hotel has a peaceful, green jungle atmosphere, yet Patong is close by. It’s a good spot if you want to be near the action while staying away from the busiest areas, with a short taxi ride or the hotel shuttle to get there. The Nature Phuket gave us a wonderful five-star stay.
