I drove from Khok Khloy, Phanga on 17/2/2026, planning to stay the night, but the main gate was closed when I got there. Someone local called out “Bid-laew, bid-laew” (closed). It made me think the place might be running out of business. I had no choice but to keep driving to Pak Meng Beach Trang and spend the night there. I forgot to take a photo of the closed gate. You can still book the hotel on the website though. 😂

Just 2 km from the mai road, this is a great place to stay and relax. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, with a lovely view of the river and mangroves right in front.

The rooms were clean and the sheets fresh. Mine faced the river, in a lovely natural setting. Watch out for mosquitoes between 6 to 8pm, and keep the doors closed then.

My room cost 500 baht. It was small but adequate, with air-conditioning, a bathroom, wi-fi, and a minifridge. The resort is quiet, around two kilometers from town and Highway 4. There's no restaurant here now, so restaurants, 7-Eleven, and shops are back at the highway junction. It's a lovely spot above a tidal river and mangroves, and should be good for sunsets. Clouds covered the western sky when I visited, though.
