Tri-Shawa Resort

The wifi is strong, and breakfast is standard. The hotel sits by a fish pier near Klongwan Beach. The beach right at the property is muddy and not suitable for swimming, though there's a sandy stretch nearby.

Rooms are well equipped, though a little worn. The hotel feels cozy and the staff are helpful. The location is so-so, and having a car is best. The pool is small but cozy too.

The reception was professional, the property is nice, and the town location is good. Breakfast was good quality. But the restaurant staff lacked service and a service-minded attitude, and didn't seem to know how the restaurant worked. Hygiene was also lacking: there were no tongs for the bread and butter at the buffet, and staff didn't know how to name the different breakfast items.

The room was on the small side and the beds were pretty hard. The grounds were beautiful, with a nice courtyard and friendly service. Our kitty was comfortable in the room, which felt homey, but I didn't think the price was worth it. We paid 2,450 baht for one night. We bought a voucher at the pet expo in Bangkok after being told the resort was in Hua Hin. We should have checked instead of just trusting that, but it caught us off guard to find it about an hour and 25 minutes past Hua Hin. We live in Bangkok, so it was much farther than expected. I wondered if the high price was because pets are allowed. We were initially told breakfast was a buffet included in the price. At the restaurant we learned it wasn't a buffet, which I was actually glad about once I saw the menu. The food was made to order, delicious, and there seemed to be lots to choose from, possibly unlimited. I'd give the whole stay a 3.5. We probably won't return to the hotel, though we'd visit that beach town again. It made for a nice romantic getaway. ❤️
