The spot worked really well for us. It’s set back a little from the road, which was nice, and the lake is close by for a walk. The room was clean, the bed was good, and the place covered everything I needed.

I stayed for two months and got charged more than ฿8000 too much for electricity and water. The receipts showed dates starting February 2, though my check-in was February 24. I raised it with the manager, “Pepsi” (I’m pretty sure that isn’t his real name). He agreed the dates were wrong but insisted the total was right, which didn’t make sense to me. The whole situation felt shady and unprofessional. Foreigners should be careful, because they may overcharge you and then brush off your concern.

Tangmo at the front desk was warm and helpful, and speaks English fluently. I’d recommend staying here if you’re unsure where to book. It’s a quiet service apartment with privacy, and the price is very reasonable. The room had a fridge, kettle, and the other small things I needed, plus a TV box with hundreds of channels, though many were shopping channels. No washing machine, unfortunately, but I’d expect a different price if there were one. Restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk away, although many closed because of Covid. The lake is very close, so bring sports clothes if you’re staying a few days and want to work on your stamina.

I was there for about a month. The manager these days is a lovely, hardworking guy who speaks English. The room was clean and beautiful, with a kitchen and little balcony, and the staff were friendly. They even put together a small party for us, I think for Cristmas. I still remember it, and the cute squirrels down in the trees running along the electric wires. Parking was fine and guarded at night, with lots of places nearby.
