Belong Jin The Dam Hotel & Resort

The beds are very hard, and the air conditioners sit right above them, so cold air blows down on you all night. That made sleeping uncomfortable. The rest was quite good. The hotel is close to the pier for boat trips on the lake, our room was very clean, and the pool was lovely and well cared for. Breakfast was good too. We ate well at the restaurant, though prices were a little above average. It would be better if everyone's food arrived together, instead of one person finishing while the others are still waiting.

The owner was a big help when we needed to exchange money. There's no money exchange in Khao Sok, and she did it for us on-site. The rate was a bit lower, but without her help we would've been in real trouble. There’s a 7-Eleven down the road, and you can rent a motorbike within a 3-minute walk. It’s 8 mins from kho sok pier to take long boats. Belong Jin The Dam Resort (Belong Jin Resort) is wonderfully quiet. You're surrounded by mountains, water, and nature, and it feels like a real break from everything. The views are worth a million dollars. There are multiple pools, and many rooms open directly onto one, which is lovely for a slow morning or a quiet evening. We found comfort, peace, great scenery, and genuinely helpful hospitality here. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Khao Sok.

The management was fair and professional when we raised the condition of our room, and gave us a partial refund for leaving early. That was appreciated. As a base for a 1 or 2-night visit to the Ratchaprapha Dam, the location near the pier is convenient. There’s no direct dam view, but the trees and distant landscape are nice to look at. The rooms are worn and weren't as clean as the online photos suggested. Maintenance could be better, especially for a longer visit or if you're traveling with a small baby, as we were. Handy for a quick lake stop, though I wouldn't choose it for a long stay.

It's very quiet, with little around on foot, but we found it a relaxing base for tours. We stayed in a lovely, large two-bedroom villa with comfortable beds, huge baths, and a private infinity pool overlooking stunning views. The staff were fab, and the drinks were nice. Room service was available and quick. Food was good overall, though some dishes were much better than others. Bring bug spray if you're eating outside at the restaurant.
