The caddies are great, and the restaurant serves good food, but the course is in terrible shape right now. Maybe it will improve in Dec/Jan. There's long grass everywhere, with soft dirt and loose footing even on the tees. The fairways are basically rough, and the greens are very poor.
There’s no accommodation here, just a golf course. It has a great layout, which makes its poor condition sad. Everything is soft and muddy, with loose dirt all over, and shots with a driver land softly, stop, and leave a divot. The course is being massively overwatered. It could be great, but it needs an experienced greenkeeper. Since the greenkeeper passed away last year, things have been very bad, and they seem to have no idea how to manage it. It’s cheap and never busy because of this. It will probably close and turn into farmland in a few years.
I love the island greens. This is a challenging, fun course, and I’d happily make it my home course and play every week. The friendly Course Marshall keeps people moving, even the Koreans. Every Thai course should have one!
The course is well designed, and it costs less than other courses.
It’s a fantastic course without being too expensive. The caddies are really helpful and can be fun once they see you’re not taking things too seriously.
