Tonngern hotel

Fratello Coffee is right outside, and I liked their coffee and food. The hotel also makes a convenient base in the city center, near plenty of restaurants and attractions. Rooms are clean, the service is great, and the price feels worth it. Breakfast is included too. I keep choosing this place for our company’s clients, and it’s never let me down. Highly recommended 😊

The price felt fair for the stay, and the wifi worked well. There’s enough parking, and the walls keep sound between rooms down, so mostly you hear noise from the hallway. Breakfast comes with the room. It’s simple, but edible. The room was an okay size and had the basic amenities, and the staff were fairly friendly. Cleanliness could be better, especially in the front rooms that seem to get booked more often. Those rooms face west and get pretty hot later in the day. I’d prefer a room at the back, though it looks toward the temple, which might bother some people. It’s a handy central spot for good restaurants and Central Department Store, just a few minutes by car. I had a decent stay and thought the value was pretty good.

Apart from one mix-up, we were very happy with the room, security, location, and regular hotel service. It’s not far from the walking street market. The room was clean and had no bad smell. We stayed two days with both an air conditioner and a wall-mounted fan, and neither was too noisy. We didn’t ask for room service, but they left water in front of our door for us, which was nice. We did need fresh towels, though. I asked at reception in English, but the staff member could use more training. She also thought I was a new customer instead of someone already checked in, and tried to charge 200 baht for the extra towels. In the end I asked someone who spoke Thai to handle it, and we got everything we needed 👍👍
