Roithong Resort

The location is very spacious, and I was really impressed by how the staff welcomed us for the 1820 class reunion (Green and Yellow). I didn't find anything particularly outstanding about the buffet table.

The resort itself is pretty and the staff were lovely. Thanks to the lady who let us park outside with all our luggage and leave the car there. Our bungalow wasn't bad for me, though the bed was extremely hard. I can handle that, but my friend was in a lot of pain the next morning. We were booked in for a wedding by a friend, and I feel bad giving less than five stars, but I have to be honest. Our bungalow was at the very end beside the main road. Trucks were honking every few minutes, roadworks were going on all night, and the noise was so loud I could hear it through my headphones. The room shook too. The works have created a big one-way system, and the U-turns to get across are blocked, so leaving by car turns a ten-minute trip into 40 minutes. You need a car here, and there isn't anything nearby. There's nowhere around that serves vegetarian food, though that's more down to the area than the resort. My friend needed to work, but we couldn't even pick up the Wi-Fi where we were. After no sleep and my friend barely eating, we had to get up early for the wedding, and it made for a sour start. Maybe it's quieter farther into the resort, but this time we couldn't extend our stay.

A pleasant little getaway.

I went for a wedding and liked the roomy parking lot. Several unusual, beautiful trees were in bloom, including Cassia, Plumeria and Silver Trumpet. The food served at the start was delicious and arrived quickly.
