Good price and a really central spot. From the train it's a five minute walk to the hostel, then you can rent a bicycle on the same street and ride two minutes to the ferry for the temples. The rooms were interesting. The sound insulation was poor and the AC vane adjustment was broken, but neither bothered me.

It's an unusual place, but I wouldn't go back. The building is about 90 years old, so I can understand that some things can't be changed or renovated. The location is handy if you're coming by train, since it's walking distance, and there's good street food in the morning. For a better price, try contacting the hotel directly. The floors are very slippery, so don't wear socks, and the bathrooms are shared. In some rooms the doorway step is so high you practically have to climb in. Sound carries between rooms, and you can hear nearby houses or boats, especially early in the morning. There was nobody around when I checked out in the morning, lol.

It's a simple but well cared for place, and a fascinating, quirky little spot if you like somewhere quaint. You can walk through from the front reception to the river and sit on a deck. I think most rooms have shared bathrooms, though ours had a private one. There's parking in the lane for a few cars.

We'd come back. The place is nice, and the location works well. The room was simple, with air conditioning, and it was quiet at night. Free Wi-Fi and parking were available. It was nice to sit by the river with morning coffee.
