The food was wonderful, especially the curry, made from scratch, and the tasty rice grown by the family. Sitting at the table with Tawan was a lovely experience. She and her mother were so friendly and hospitable, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming even though the place is still being restored. It’s a traditional house with a beautiful round roof, which also shelters the scooter. It was a fun detail to discover and admire. The spot is in a lovely, quiet bay, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. Highly recommend coming as a guest of Tawan and her lovely mother for an authentic, delicious meal.

Sadly, the place was closed. I spoke with the owner, and couldn’t even order a Coca cola. We’d read the reviews and wanted to eat here, so that was disappointing. It seemed permanently closed. They weren’t meant to be open for lunch or dinner, and I didn’t see any customers.

COVID measures hit the bar and bungalows hard, and the bar is being renovated now. They’re still cooking, though. The food is excellent, but with the construction feel and no atmosphere at the moment, it’s too expensive. The sea view is beautiful, and we’d be glad to come back once the renovations are finished.
