Check-in was a problem because the staff couldn’t find our booking number, and the reception staff were very unfriendly. The suite on the fourth floor was overpriced, with steep stairs leading up to it. Its balcony was dirty, as was the jacuzzi. The water pressure was almost nonexistent and the water was dirty; filling the tub halfway took nearly two hours. The suite was really just a minimalist room, with no clothes cabinets, a damaged sofa, and a damaged sink with a water tap in the bathroom. The room itself was somewhat clean. The only good points were the central spot on the beach road and plenty of parking.

We paid 900 Tbhat for one night, which looked like a bargain at first. The room was badly in need of redecorating, and cockroaches were sharing it with us. The bath and shower weren’t fit for use. If this were in the UK, I’d think they’d lose their licence to trade.

Chaamaran Boutique Hotel was dreadful. The price posted outside said 750 Bht, but the cheapest room actually cost 1250 Bht. There was no breakfast or Wi-Fi, and the room was a dirty 20-foot shipping container. You might as well sleep on the beach!

A lovely place, and the best pet-friendly hotel in Cha-am! There’s a seven-eleven right at the front, and the beach is 50 meters away.

Some rooms have been rebuilt from containers, which is pretty cool 👍😊. Breakfast is served in the front building. The rooms are nice and clean, and the staff are awesome. It’s close to the beach too.
