Rayong Chalet Hotel and Resort

We paid extra for a sea-view room and got a spacious, clean room and bathroom. The Wi-Fi worked well, the aircon was strong and worked properly, and check-in and checkout were fast. Still, we stayed in January 2026 and won’t return. The balcony was dirty, with lots of bird poop on the aircon compressor. The shower pressure was low, the hot water took time to heat up, and its temperature kept changing, sometimes getting very hot by itself. There was no toothbrush set, and there’s only one small elevator. Breakfast selection was bad. On the second day the croissants were served once and not replenished. We were told breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m., but at 7:15 on the third day we saw a large group already eating. Both nights there were private events with loud singing and performances until 10:15 p.m. At 7 a.m. on the second morning, a few people shouting on the beach woke us up for a while. Very inconsiderate.

The room was clean and quiet, and the beach is private, but the Wi-Fi was so bad it was completely unusable. What’s the point of offering it if it doesn’t work? So frustrating.

The location worked well for us, right beside the beach and within walking distance of She Sails Cafe & Beach Club. The newer rooms on the ground floor look nice, though breakfast and dinner are still in the older hotel building, which feels worn out. Its elevator is very old too, and parking can be hard to find when things are busy. The stay was fine, but next time I’d try somewhere else in the area.

A good place for a big family, especially if everyone enjoys playing in the water. There are boats and jet skis at the beach, though you have to pay 700 baht for them.
