The location is right on the ocean, with mangroves and lots of shady places to relax over a drink or coffee. The homes are new, clean, and built to a high standard. Rada, the kind Thai owner, also runs the resort and restaurant. The cafe and restaurant food was exceptional, with options for vegetarian and vegan guests. I had a delicious green coconut milk curry with pumpkin and vegetables, and vegan pad thai without egg. It was a peaceful stay, and the staff were excellent and clearly wanted guests to be happy. Go for it!

The hosts were the best part for me. They were so hospitable, often bringing local fruit or drinks, and clearly take care of this little place by the sea with attention to detail. Tea and coffee are free, and drinks are sold at supermarket prices. There are only eight bungalows, so the place feels intimate. Each one is spacious and to a good standard, with well maintained hot showers, a small private kitchen, good beds, and a TV. The room was super clean and well cared for. The property is right by a rocky beach, with several places to lie down and tubes for a dip. There's also a shared area for breakfast and meeting other guests. For a relaxing Koh Chang stay, Baan Chid Talay is on the side of the island I'd choose. You need a scooter to get around. I'm very glad I stayed with this lovely couple at their great little hotel.

A little village, quiet and tucked away, with a lovely ocean view. The service was friendly, and there's a big selection of drinks, including Thai milk tea and smoothies.

We could easily have stayed at Baan Chid Talay for more than a day. The clean, welcoming house faces the sea, where we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise. The woman who welcomed us was very friendly and quick to help with everything. The food was very good, and so was the price.

A lovely, peaceful, warm place to relax, with beautiful sunrises and tasty food. The hosts were very friendly and the service was great. I'm enjoying every moment here. It's also a good base for exploring the east side of the island. A real secret treasure. I'll come back as soon as I can!
