The view is amazing, and the location is superb. The beach is lovely for a walk or a bit of relaxing. The Beach Club was okay, though busy and overpriced in my experience. We stayed four nights and five days, but the place was cleaned just once, after the first night. Towels weren’t changed and the water in the fridge wasn’t replenished. Bugs kept sticking to the door and getting inside at night. I know that can be hard to prevent, but they could offer cleaning or leave us a brush. We were constantly walking over piles of fly wings inside the house. The WiFi was also very weak. There was no lock on the toilet door, which may come down to preference, and a divider or small plant between us and the neighbors would have helped with privacy while sitting outside. It felt a bit frustrating to sit outside and see a nice pool we couldn’t swim in, and a beach we couldn’t walk straight down to.

We had a great meal. My daughter loved her club sandwich, and my Pad Kapow was lovely too. The shakes were nice, and the service was good. It’s a beautiful spot right beside the beach, with nice lawns and plenty of room for the kids to run around.

Mrs. V really made my stay pleasant. She cleaned, replied to my questions on Whatsapp, sorted out taxis, suggested restaurants, and rented me a scooter. The property is definitely isolated, since most of the activity is farther south, but the beach was great, Beach Club was nearby, and the sunsets were incredible.

A hidden little paradise with a beautiful beach, small private gardens, and lovely swimming pools. The place looks just like the promo pictures, and the accommodation was really comfortable and spotless. The hosts were kind and caring too.

The setting and view are absolutely stunning, and we really enjoyed the resort. But Villa 4D itself was, in our view, completely unacceptable. Friends staying five doors away had a beautiful house and paid less than us. I’d recommend the resort, but strongly suggest avoiding any of the sunset Emily Villa properties. Our problems started before arrival. We were told there’d been a booking mistake and that we had to spend our first night in Villa 4E next door. That was a huge hassle and spoiled the first day of our holiday. We weren’t clearly told when we had to leave 4E, then felt rushed out once the next guests arrived. Several staff were there, but barely helped us carry our bags down the stairs and into the other property. We were given a bowl of fruit as compensation. Villa 4D was also a downgrade from 4E. The place was in terrible repair: stained sofas, peeling kitchen cupboards, broken items throughout, and bat droppings from the family living in the roof all over the patio and the master bedroom window, one of the property’s main features. It was the worst-equipped self-catering place I’ve stayed in. There were no wardrobes, just a cheap plastic hanging rail, and some rooms had no drawers, only a cheap plastic shelf. There was hardly anywhere to put our things, and no hooks for towels. The rooms had no nice pictures or decoration, and the kitchen had horrible basic bowls and utensils. A couple of bathrooms were grim, many smelled badly of damp, mosquito nets were broken, and the bedding was horrible. The towels were thin and scratchy. Nothing made it feel like a luxury stay, despite the huge amount we paid. The beds were easily the worst part. There were three adults in our group, all used to staying in Asia where beds are usually harder, but none of us had slept on anything so uncomfortable. We told the woman managing the property and got an extremely rude reply from the owner, who asked us not to bother her. She apparently said nobody else had complained about the beds, which I find pretty unlikely. We all woke at 6 a.m. with awful backache, and the beds really affected what should have been a relaxing holiday. At checkout, they counted every horrible bowl and plate to make sure nothing was missing. We nearly had to pay 100 baht for a cup before it turned up.
