The rooms are old, and the shared bathrooms weren't very clean. One was especially dirty, with a sink that leaked onto your feet. Staff weren't nice either. We had trouble getting our key deposit back, and they couldn't even lend us a cup for coffee. At 600BHT for a small fan room with a shared bathroom, it felt far too expensive. There are much better places elsewhere.

The large room had air conditioning and faced Sabai bar directly. It was close to the bank, photos, and travel agencies, which was everything we needed to get ready for our trip to Cambodia.

The room was basic but clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a huge bed. The place is three steps from the sea, yet set back in the second row, so it's very quiet and good for sleeping late. The price was good too. There are several room types, from very simple fan rooms with shared bathrooms to air-conditioned rooms with an in-room bathroom and TV, and family-run management. She was very kind and friendly when I arrived after a longer journey than expected, and offered me dinner, one of those packaged noodle meals you make with the kettle provided in every room. It was a thoughtful gesture, especially given the time and how unexpected it was. The basic setup suited me fine, and I'd definitely recommend it to people who aren't demanding. I'll come back, and for now, thanks to the staff for the stay.
