The Pier 519 Hostel

The beds are comfortable, with firm mattresses and a useful privacy curtain. There are indoor and outdoor showers, plus plenty of space to hang clothes to dry. It's super clean, and they tidy up several times a day. Each bed has a large locker underneath for your bag, and the hostel feels very safe. There are security cameras in the room, so this may not suit you if that makes you uncomfortable. They're there for security, and the female staff didn't seem creepy at all. It's not a party hostel and it isn't very social, though it's close to the pier and all the party areas. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Remember not to wear your shoes inside or leave them in the rooms; they'll put them away downstairs. I'd definitely stay again.

Aiw was so friendly and even taught me some Thai words. The hostel itself was very clean, close to the beach, and cheap. They can book taxis and tours, and you can buy water there too. There's a laundry service nearby. I'd really recommend staying here.

There's free coffee, tea, bananas, and biscuits, which is a lovely extra. The hostel is close to the pier but far enough from the bars that it's not noisy at night. Staff are really friendly and keep the place clean. Brilliant stay, I'd come again and recommend it.

I didn't take many photos, or really any, but don't let that put you off staying here. The hotel is right on the harbour, so everything is easy to get to. Customer service was great, and the rooms block both noise and air conditioning really well.
