We stayed 7 nights and found the value incredible, so I'm not sure why the other reviews are so bad. The room and bathroom were wonderful and big, the place was clean and peaceful, and the staff were friendly. The pool was clean and lovely too. There's no food service on the premises, but we knew that before we arrived, and it's easy to walk into town from here. We couldn't fault our stay. Highly recommend it for people who don't want resort type accommodation.

The room and bathroom are large and comfortable, in a peaceful spot by the water. It's a 5 min walk to the bars and restaurants in town, and for a cheap stay, it's fantastic. The hotel looks half abandoned, though, and I'm not sure I'd trust the pool. The main downside in my room was very poor wifi.

The beds were like sleeping on rocks, with springs digging into me so much I couldn't sleep a wink. I'm used to firm Thai beds, but these were on another level. Thank goodness I booked just one night; any longer and I'd have been a zombie. They could also use bedside tables, since there's plenty of room. The setting itself is laid-back, with a pool and a seaside spot next door for great sunsets. It's right in the middle of a lively party town, with bars, restaurants, live music places, tattoo parlors, and little gift shops all around. If that's your scene, you'll probably like it.

!! SCAM !! PAY ATTENTION !! I arrived with a 5-night reservation from booking.com, but they said they weren't taking reservations and that this wasn't the same place, even though the photos matched. Two French girls ahead of me had just had the same thing happen. I came back the next day and saw two more couples who'd been scammed. Luckily, a friend from Italy called me, and Italian customer service sorted it out and got me a full refund. BEWARE OF SCAM.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! I just posted a review on Google Maps, and they opened a new page to get away from the old bad reviews. They take non-refundable reservations even when full. Make sure they actually have a room before booking. We reserved a superior room, but on arrival they put us in a bungalow at the back because no rooms were left. We tried to book more nights, which showed as available on Agoda, but staff said they were fully booked and the site wouldn't let them block rooms. We don't know if that was true or if they were discriminating against us. The place itself is nice, but poorly maintained. The bathroom smelled like sewage the whole time, and the pool was always full of leaves.
