Oasis Koh Chang

It’s a lovely spot to get work done. There’s a long co-working table with outlets, available if you order from the restaurant. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The surroundings are lush, the internet stays reliable, and you can take a refreshing dip in the pool. The music is mellow, and it never feels too crowded or noisy. Definitely recommend it.

The infinity pool is the standout, with an incredible view over the treetops that feels like swimming above the jungle. Late afternoon light turns golden, and it’s a spectacular place for photos. The whole setting is peaceful and beautifully designed, surrounded by forest sounds like birds and cicadas. It really makes you slow down. I only visited The Oasis Koh Chang for the restaurant and pool, not for an overnight stay, but it was worth going. The steep, partly paved access road is a bit of a challenge; once there, the greenery and calm make up for it. I tried a few of the Mediterranean and Thai-inspired dishes. The falafel were crisp outside, soft inside, and nicely seasoned, decent though not the best I’ve had. They make a nice snack or starter with hummus. The hummus was creamy and tasty, with a good lemon and tahini balance, though the serving seemed small for the price. The shrimp coconut curry was fragrant, rich, and creamy, with fresh shrimp and a nice presentation. Even after I asked for it not spicy, it came quite hot, so anyone sensitive to chili may want to double-check. That portion was also on the small side. Service was polite and relaxed, in keeping with the slow tropical pace. Don’t come in a rush. The food was good but not outstanding, and the portions could be more generous. Still, the jungle surroundings, design, and pool view made it a memorable stop.

The open-air shower was a highlight, and I loved the cozy bungalows, nice pool, and cool treehouse. Just remember it’s right in nature, so ants in the bathroom are part of the deal. There were cats and dogs roaming around, and one cat especially liked my bungalow and kept following me inside. ❤️

We had a really nice lunch at Oasis. The curries were delicious, there were lots of vegetarian choices, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Cats and monkeys even came by while we ate. :)
