Kong at the bar made us feel welcome from the first time we stopped in. He's one of the nicest bartenders we've met, and went out of his way to make the service great. We hadn't planned to return since the hotel is quite far away, but we came back on each of the next two days just to visit the bar. He's a real credit to the hotel, and his warm smile made the experience memorable. If you're staying here or passing through, go by and ask for Kong. I've added a picture I took of the lovely view from the bar, with Kong in it.

The beach area is lovely, the location is great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a buffet, though the coffee was weak. Water quality was okay. The bungalow is near the jungle, so you hear waves at night and birds calling. Ours seemed fairly new, but the mattress was old and unfortunately had bedbugs. Ouch. The staff helped us move to another bungalow, where we had no bites. Even in the dry season there were sandflies and mosquitoes, so bring insect spray.

We loved staying here and will come back. The beach is quiet and very clean, and dinner was excellent. Breakfast is served at the resort next door, with lots of good options. The houses are clean and spacious, with a good bathroom and shower. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

We didn't stay overnight, just stopped for a couple of drinks at the little beach bar. The guy running it is a legend, such a lovely bartender with a heart of gold!

The staff were so kind and accommodating, and really helpful when we needed to get around the island. Their hospitality was some of the sweetest we've had. The complimentary breakfast buffet had loads of tasty choices, especially fresh fruit, my favorite. The resort is out of the way, but having the beach right there and the amenities made it very comfortable. You can kayak, snorkel, play pool, get a massage, use the small library, or have a drink at the full bar. Our first visit to Koh Chang was everything we hoped for and more. We'll definitely return, and I can't wait.
