Dara Homestay Koh Kood

It's easy to arrange the ferry or speedboat back to the mainland at Trat through the accommodation. We also rented a Click 160, which was in very good condition and worked perfectly. At Dara Homestay, the rooms were very clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The freshly prepared breakfast was delicious. We'd definitely stay again on our next trip to Koh Kood and highly recommend it.

The only real drawback for me was the very low shower pressure. The location isn't really walkable, though a motorbike gets you to the nearest beach in two minutes, with some restaurants close by too. Dara homestay feels family-run, with friendly, organized service. Breakfast is served at the café nearby and is fantastic. We had a pool villa, though “pool suite” would be a better name for it. It was good value, clean, and had good lighting and several places to sit outside. We spotted a few ants now and then, nothing concerning. The rooms are starting to show some wear, but they're okay for the price.

Seeing monkeys jump across the rooftops through the window was such a fascinating, unforgettable part of staying in the villa right by the jungle. Ours had no pool, but it was wonderful, with lots of space, a large bathroom, and room to relax. The people at Dara Homestay made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. They're incredibly kind, always smiling, and truly helpful. Breakfast from the café next door was delicious, with plenty of healthy, fresh, filling options to choose from. Ao Taphao Beach is very close, and we think it's the island's most beautiful beach. Scooter rentals are available at the hotel too, which made it convenient to explore Ko Kut. This is a special place that stays in your heart. I'd return every time I visit.

The breakfasts were especially good, really delicious. Our room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, and the whole resort was beautiful, clean, and fragrant. The staff were kind, always smiling, and happy to answer questions. We rented a motorcycle at reception and got all the information we needed about the island, including how to reach the pier on departure day.
