The Survival by Seudam

The beach and the views are stunning, but sand flea bites affected all seven people in our group. Nobody had warned us about them. Instead of enjoying the beach, we spent several days itching all over, and the symptoms carried on after we got home. We tried different creams for more than a week before things improved. When we told the hotel, they once gave us a cream to apply with a cotton swab, but it wasn't enough for a problem this widespread. The hotel should clearly tell future visitors about the risk. If you're going, we'd suggest washing your clothes as soon as you get home and not spending long stretches on the beach loungers, since that may make it worse. Another inconvenience was not being able to charge purchases to our room. It meant carrying a wallet even just to swim in case we wanted to order something, and that also limited what we bought. The place is beautiful, but this had a real negative effect on our holiday.

The beach right outside is beautiful, and the location was great. I felt very comfortable during our stay. Every member of staff was cheerful and friendly, and the service was excellent. I especially want to recognize MR.KUNG and his team, the Activity Boy. He was dedicated, worked hard all day from morning to evening, and kept smiling. He made us feel safe and confident during the activities, and I was really impressed.

The beach beside the property is probably its best feature. The tents may suit you if you like camping and don't mind a bit of roughing it. Bathrooms and toilets are all in one area, so a tent at the far end of the field means a longer walk. There also isn't anyone keeping an eye on the tents, which could be a concern if you want to feel more secure. For this price, I think you can find somewhere with a much better standard of accommodation, so it's worth weighing up other options.

The staff were warm and attentive, always ready to help while still letting the place keep its quiet, natural pace. Our mornings began with jungle sounds and beautiful views, and the resort felt private and peaceful among the island's greenery. The luxurious tents gave us comfort and a sense of adventure at the same time, without giving up quality or style. The Survival was a magical escape on Ko Kood. If you want wild scenery, relaxation, and a bit of luxury, I'd happily return in a heartbeat.
