Wave-F Homestay

We stayed at Wave-F Homestay for about a month, and the rooms and service live up to the previous top-notch reviews. The restaurant deserves a mention of its own. We've eaten there many times and loved it. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. Some Thai dishes are better found elsewhere, but the curries and stir-fries here are fantastic. Highly recommend!

You can eat at Wave-F RESTAURANT even if you're not staying there, and you should. We've tried the red, green and panang curries, cashew chicken, papaya salad, spring rolls and banana spring rolls for dessert. For breakfast, we had the 'jok', savory rice porridge with seasoned minced-pork meatballs. Everything tasted great, and the partly covered patio is a nice place to sit. Service was excellent. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

The nights were so quiet, and the beds were the coziest I've ever had in Thailand. I loved listening to the jungle sounds while relaxing there. The staff were super nice and helpful, the food was delicious, and the garden was beautiful. The rooms were tidy and had air con and a fridge. You can rent a scooter and explore the island, and if you're arriving from Koh Chang by Speed Boat, it's only a 10 min walk to the accommodation. Highly recommend. I wish I'd stayed a few more days, or weeks. All the best to you guys!

The deluxe bungalow was beautiful and clean, set in a tropical garden. The staff really made the difference, and we felt like we were in a 4-star hotel. Khun Pang was quick to get in touch. The food was top-notch, and the Thai dishes had an authentically modern feel. Try the Gung Tamarind, it's heavenly. The host family, who are at the restaurant every day too, came across as rather distant and aloof, and I found the owner suspicious. A smile and a hello to guests would be enough. They also need to consider guests who want to sleep when there are loud parties in the garden, which happened twice until almost midnight. It's hard to please everyone, but hopefully they can put in more passion, as their staff do. Then Wave-F could be our favorite place on our next, 40th trip to Thailand.
