The staff were wonderful, and the pool looks great. It was the main thing the place had going for it, though people watched while I swam, and nobody else seemed to use it during my stay. There are more rules than I’ve seen at most places in Thailand. The table is another thing to watch: I cut my legs on the metal chicken wire underneath when I sat at the desk. I hope they fix it. The location is great, the price was good, and it seems better suited to a more mature crowd. Hopefully they’ll get new towels.

The views and rooms were lovely, and the price was reasonable. There are quite a few rules, though I understand why the owner introduced them after some guests caused problems. My husband and I had a good stay, thanks in large part to the hospitality and help from Khun Morrakot, Khun Som and Khun Kookkai. My flight was delayed, so I arrived at 19:00, after the usual 14:00-17:00 check-in period. Late arrival normally costs extra, but because I booked through the hotel Facebook page, the manager kindly made an exception and let me check in for free.

The rooms feel modern and are clean, the pool looks nice, and the location is excellent. Breakfast was just okay, though. For a “4 star” hotel, the service felt more like 2 stars, especially when it came to drinking water. They provide two bottles a day, but if you ask outside the room restocking hours, staff say the bottles are “locked up.” In 35+ degree heat, refusing an extra bottle over what likely costs a penny seems ridiculous.

The staff were so cheerful and lovely, and the room, pool, and breakfast were all perfect. This was our favorite stay on a 10-day trip from Bangkok to Lanta.
