Hey Beach Hostel

We ended up staying a few nights longer than planned because we loved this hostel. It's very clean and well kept, with great facilities, and the staff are helpful and a joy to interact with. A great beach is a 10-second walk away. You can rent scooters, around 200 baht, right at the front desk, and book any day trips you want too. Highly recommended.

The location shown on maps is wrong, but the hostel itself is amazing. The caring owners are friendly and always willing to help. It's recently been renovated nicely, with several six-bed dorms, clean rooms and strong AC. The garden and shared lounge look lovely, and the scooters and motorbikes for rent are in good shape. The main downside was the extreme number of mosquitoes in both the rooms and the shared lounge, which is covered but outdoors.

We had a private chalet that was very comfortable and clean, with hot running water. The hostel is right on the beach, though it was really quiet when we visited in low season. There's WiFi in the common areas and the kitchen facilities are excellent. They were extremely helpful with booking trips and transfers. I'd absolutely recommend it for a stay in Koh Lanta.

The people, Cha,Sa,Chay and June, made me feel at home and couldn't do enough for me. I lived in a beach bungalow at Hey for two months and had an amazing time, just a one-minute walk from Klong Dao beach. It was great value, with a spacious bedroom and bathroom, a very comfortable bed and a smart TV for rainy days. There are lots of bungalow choices in Koh Lanta, but I chose Hey for its large covered outdoor kitchen, which was well equipped and had a seating area on the balcony. It also has dorms and a big shared kitchen and dining area. Highly recommend.
