I posted this review at night, and the next morning I was told to leave. When I got back from scuba diving, my belongings were packed and waiting at reception. I called my mom in germany, but she was still asleep because of the time difference, so I had to deal with it alone. I booked at the last minute and had originally reserved a single room without a balcony, not facing the main road directly. At arrival, I was “upgraded” to a balcony room directly facing the road. It was nearly impossible to sleep without noise-cancelling AirPods. For 50 € per night, 4,000 THB for two nights, I expected a bit more peace and professionalism. The room was okay for a hostel, I guess, but there was hair on the floor, the towels seemed clean but very worn, and several mosquitoes greeted me on arrival and bit me a lot overnight. I never touched the air conditioning. It was already running when I entered and still running when I left, but later I was blamed for “leaving it on.” That nearly brought me to tears. The worst part wasn’t the room or noise, it was how they handled feedback. I wrote about my disappointment on google without insulting anyone, and was kicked out the next morning. That’s not how customer service should work. I wish them well, but I won’t return.
The owner’s kindness was the best part of my stay. Her recommendations were spot on, she helped arrange tours and negotiate good prices, and she kindly and efficiently helped when I had a small issue with a motorbike rental. She clearly cares about her guests. The hostel was clean, and the little things were helpful: drinking water, snacks, and hot water for tea or coffee. There are two small but comfortable common areas, one out back and one in the lobby. I stayed in the four-bed dorm. It’s small, but the beds are arranged well and offer good privacy, and there are lockers. My only real downside was that the shower and toilet share a room, so the floor is often wet when you use the toilet. The shower itself was clean, with hot water and good pressure. The location is convenient, with lots of shops nearby, the beach a five to ten minute walk away, and a motorbike rental place next door with reasonable prices. It is on the main road, though, so it isn’t quiet or scenic. A very good stay, mostly thanks to the owner and the cleanliness.
The owner really made this stay special. We arrived with food poisoning, and she took care of everything, even going out to buy us water and food for free. She’s so friendly and helped us with all sorts of things. The place was clean and well located near the beach, a minimarket, and some affordable restaurants. The rooms are modern and affordable, with good AC and hot water.
The team were lovely and helpful, recommending local places to eat and nice spots to see. Laundry is available at a good price. It’s less than five minutes from the beach, where the sunsets are the best! I tried both the dorm and a private room. Both had clean, comfortable beds and bathrooms, and lockers were provided. The only downside in the dorm is the ensuite bathroom, since you can hear and smell other people using the toilet. Everything was very clean, though, and housekeeping cleaned the common spaces several times a day.
I slept so well here, the bed was amazing. The rooms are clean, and some have a cute little balcony. Laundry was really cheap and came back quickly. The owner is incredibly kind, and the housekeeping staff are just as sweet. I loved this place, highly recommend it!
