Lanta New Beach Bungalows

This is my second stay here, after a visit two years ago, and I’ve been back for three days this week. It’s a nice location, and I love this beach. At low tide the whole of ko khlong beach is rocky, so if that doesn’t suit you, pick a different beach. Swimming is good at high tide. The accommodation is basic but has what you need, including two pools. There’s a big 7-11 at the end of the road, a minute away, plus restaurants. The main bit of town is a five minute walk by road. I’ve seen bad reviews from travellers expecting European standards. Do your research and stay somewhere else if you’re going to complain about everything. For most people, this place is good at a decent price. A shower in the bathroom is pretty standard in Asia.

The bungalows are either single or duplex, with clean rooms, AC, and beds that aren’t hard. They have springs, like Thai beds, and I found them very nice. There are two pools by the beach, along with a restaurant and massage services, all at reasonable prices.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful, and the whole place had a really relaxed feel. We had two pools to choose from, plus a bar and a separate restaurant with great service. The setting was amazing, right by what seemed to me like the island’s prettiest beach. The value is hard to beat, and I’d happily come back.

Had a comfy, quiet stay in a clean resort with friendly staff. There are two pools, and the room had AC, a fan and a fridge. You can rent a bike beside reception, and get a massage by the bar and pool. The shower pressure was weak, but we managed to fix it ourselves. Thanks!
