The staff were lovely, helpful and hardworking, looking after both the rooms and the restaurant. The location is excellent, close to shops and restaurants and only a few meters from the beach. The AC and fridge worked perfectly, and despite the busy street, we slept really well at night. Just be aware a 7/11 is due to open next to the hotel soon. The food was delicious, a real Thai food experience. A few things could be better: the bathroom door needs fixing, though it's not a big deal, and the towels were a bit stained. General cleanliness could improve, the WiFi is a little slow, and a bigger dustbin would have helped. Still, a great option for travelers on a low budget.

We paid almost 40 euro a night, which felt far too expensive. The location is great, right by a beautiful beach, but after going out for the day we were worried about returning to the room. It was unfortunately the worst place we've ever stayed. The WiFi didn't work at all, the AC remote was broken, and there was no hair dryer or any kind of soap. The room had a worrying amount of mold on the walls, tiles, curtain and even the pillows. The bathroom should've been cleaned better before guests arrived, and there were ants everywhere. If we'd paid 10, maybe I wouldn't complain.

For a budget traveler, this basic place covers what you need at a very low price. The beach is just across the street, shops and services are a short walk away, and the restaurant at reception is ridiculously cheap and perfectly tasty. The rooms are simple but comfortable and have the essentials, and reception speaks good English. It's not fancy, and there are drawbacks: cleaning wasn't very thorough, the house's design is a bit bizarre, the floor gets slippery when it rains, the surroundings aren't attractive, and there's nowhere to relax or have fun. If you can live with that, the price makes up for it.

The manager was an angel, always there to help and doing everything she could to make our two-week stay enjoyable. The location was perfect for exploring, and the restaurant food was so good that we ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner many times. The AC worked perfectly too. We had a roof leak. She arranged to have the roof cleaned, hoping to prevent it, but the problem continued, so we had to move rooms. For the last 2-3 nights she kindly upgraded us to a much better second-floor room, which was larger and brighter. It had nowhere to put clothes, though, with no wardrobe or desk. The cheaper first-floor rooms are quite dark and have almost no storage, just three hangers on a curtain rod. For two weeks, keeping everything in backpacks on the floor was inconvenient. They may be better for short stays or backpackers. The WiFi was really weak and wouldn't let us watch Netflix in the room, and the TV didn't work. One thing to know if booking through Agoda: the listing lets you choose one or two beds, but only large single beds are available, and they were very comfortable. Despite the hassles, we appreciated the hospitality and the owner's effort to make us happy. I'd recommend the place for its location, food and staff.
