Patty's Secret Garden

My wife loved the house red, which is a good find since decent red wine is hard to get in Thailand. We like coming here for one of our occasional nights out. It’s a little expensive for a backpacking budget, but the food and atmosphere are great, the staff are very friendly, and it’s family owned and operated.

There’s a nice play area with lots of toys, and you can keep an eye on the kids from your table. The food came quickly after we ordered. I had one of the best Penang dishes I’ve tried on the island, and my girlfriend’s veggie burger was great too. The staff were super friendly and did an excellent job. Nice atmosphere!

Patty's has lovely decor and very quick service, and I had a decent lunch there. The Thai food was good, but my burger was disappointing. The meat tasted like it had been boiled before going on the grill, and the bun was dry and tasteless. It also seemed a bit overpriced compared with most nearby places, though the visit was decent overall.

The decor is super nice, and the food is creative and delicious. They’re honest and careful about the spicy dishes, so you can order yours not spicy. Just perfect, a great place and definitely a must try in Koh Lanta!
