The owner was wonderful and really helpful, and the beach is just a three-minute walk away. The facilities are a little basic, but I liked the place a lot. The AC runs from 6pm to 10am, which is really the only time you're in your room anyway.

The common area has a really nice feel, and the kitchen has everything you need, including storage for guests' food. I also loved the slow drip coffee, probably the best on the island. Ying made sure everyone was happy with their stay. One of the best hostels I've stayed in, and I'll definitely come back.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and can sort out rentals or transport. One night they even cooked for the whole group. It's an easy walk to the beach, with plenty of good places nearby for food or a drink. One of my favorite hostels I've stayed at.

The price is great, the staff are kind and helpful, and the location is good. The mattresses are hard, there's no AC during the day, and the bathroom is pretty grungy. Those all seem like things that could be fixed easily to make the stay better.

Everything you need is close by, including the beach, a bank, restaurants, scooter rental, yoga and Muay Thai. The pier is 1.5 km away, about a 20-minute walk, so there's no need to take a taxi. Prices are good, and the staff are friendly and always ready to help.
