The staff were professional, and the large air-conditioned rooms had twin beds. The location was great too, no more than a five-minute walk from the beach. Everything else was awful. My friend and I booked after arriving on Phi Phi because we were in a hurry and forgot to check booking.com. There were several hotels at a similar price. In the morning, we found the sink dirty and something condom-like in it. It looked as if someone had pulled a ceiling panel from another room and thrown something into our bathroom. The toilet kept leaking, leaving the bathroom constantly wet, so we barely used it and didn’t bathe there. The rooms smelled musty, like mold, and seemed not to have been upgraded since the 90s. Book here if you can’t find anything else. Otherwise, skip it.

For the price, the private room was what I expected. What I’m most grateful for is how kind and supportive the host was. After I had an accident, she helped me with everything and made the stay as comfortable and manageable as she could. I’d definitely recommend it.

Nothing in the room worked, and the staff were extremely rude. They charged us £300 because the shower wasn’t working, even though it had never worked in the first place. We still paid, but only had £250, and they called the police, who pointed a gun at us. This was uncomfortable and dangerous. The single worst place in all of Phi Phi. I would never recommend it to anyone.

The restaurant near Golden Bee Phi Phi is absolutely delicious. Pad Thai is my favourite in the area, and they even stayed open late to make it for us. The staff are really nice and the service is amazing. Highly recommended if you’re staying in Phi Phi.

We were charged 500 bath for a dirty towel, and the hotel has a list of possible fees that seems to be used to get extra money at checkout. The bed and pillows were dirty from the start, and the mattress was hard as stone. The shower water smelled bad. I’d suggest letting it run for ten minutes first, though that’s bad for the environment. Find another hotel.
