P.P. Casita - Adults Only

I wanted somewhere I could sleep without loud music going until 3am, and Casita was just right. My expectations for the hotel and location weren't high, so it was a pleasant surprise to find a charming bungalow surrounded by nature, right in the center. The pool was great, and it was only three minutes to the beach, 7/11, and Thai massage places just across the street. Those massages felt like real technique, unlike many tourist 'fake' massages. I stayed in the James Bond bungalow, room 007. Even the TV looked from another era, giving the place a cool 90s vibe. It was peaceful, unique, and good value.

We had such a good stay that we regretted not booking more days, and we'd definitely return. The buffet breakfast had lots of sweet and savory choices, including eggs and omelettes made fresh by a chef on request. There was a nice pool with a bar open until evening. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well kept, with amenities and good cleaning service. The hotel feels cozy, with cute bungalows and lots of trees and nature, but it's still right in the city center with restaurants and shops just outside. The beach is very close, 200-300m at most. Definitely do yourself a favor and book here :)

The pool was very nice, and breakfast had a great selection. Staff were polite, and the place itself is beautiful, but the hotel is very average. The shower has no curtain or barrier, so the bathroom gets messy, and some of its fixtures are rusty. Late at night, inconsiderate guests would slam doors, smoke things, and yell just outside our door. Reception didn't do anything about it. Cleaners also made a lot of noise early in the morning because their storage rooms are right by some bedrooms, and there's no soundproofing. There were cats all over the place. They jumped on, sat on, or slept on dining tables, and one came into my room after I'd left the door open for ten seconds. I like animals, but don't want one sleeping on the table I'm about to eat at. We also saw a few cockroaches.

All the bungalows were booked, but we got a beautiful, spacious room with good air conditioning. It was very quiet, yet still close to everything, just a little farther from the party hostels. The resort itself is lovely, with wonderful-looking bungalows and plants everywhere that add to the atmosphere. Housekeeping was great, and they replenished the shampoo and shower gel every day. The pool area was cool, but the water had enough chlorine to make my skin sting, though it may have been sensitive after all the seawater. Complimentary pool towels are available from the lobby. The toilet flush pedal(?) broke, but maintenance fixed it that same day.
