Rabbitel Phuket

I only spent my last two days in Phuket here, but it was a really comfortable place to finish my solo trip. My four-bed women’s room was roomy, calm, and private enough, and I felt safe the whole time. The staff were women and were genuinely sweet and helpful. It’s right by Bus Terminal 1, so getting to the airport, Patong Beach, Bus Terminal 2, and other places was easy. Phuket Old Town was about 50-100 THB away. The rooms have AC, the bathrooms and showers were clean, and they gave me a towel and bottled water when I arrived. Good for solo travelers or friends, and I think there are private rooms too.

We got off our airport bus and were basically at Rabbitel already, since it’s right outside Bus Terminal 2. My partner and I had a good stay, with a nicely sized private room. The shared bathroom worked fine. The shower was small, but the hot water stayed on. The staff were friendly, and we tried the laundry service. It was good and fairly priced. I’d recommend this place if you want to explore Phuket Old Town.

The location is very handy, just a short walk from the bus terminal, and the laundry was quick with decent service. The room could use some improvement, though. For two nights the AC dripped, and they only gave me a towel and a container to deal with it. I had to sleep with the uncomfortable noise from the unit.

Rabbitel was surprisingly quiet, even though it’s close to Bus Terminal 1. I stayed in a four-bed bunk room over New Year’s. The bed was comfortable, and the lockers and curtains gave some privacy. The shared bathroom was clean and had towels and toiletries. There’s also a shared kitchen with free tea and coffee, which is handy if you’re traveling on a budget. The staff were lovely and spoke English well, and getting local transport from the bus stop was easy. I booked ahead, which I’d suggest for busy dates like New Year’s because the hostel fills up quickly. One thing: breakfast was advertised as free, but I didn’t see any during my three days there. Still, it’s a convenient, comfortable option if you’re watching your spending.
