Phi Phi Relax Beach Resort

We’d read plenty of online complaints about the staff and location, but that wasn’t our experience at all. The team were friendly with us and with the other guests, and their kindness was easy to see. Getting there was well organized. At the pier, someone welcomed us, showed us to a boat, and put our luggage aboard. There’s a small charge, but it’s about a 30-minute boat trip and they carry everything, which felt very reasonable to us. There’s a snack shop, bar, and restaurant open all day at the accommodation. In the evenings, they play great music and sometimes put on a fire show, which is a fun touch. It’s not all-inclusive, as you know when booking, so food and drinks apart from breakfast are charged separately. People may forget that supplies also have to come over from the mainland by fishing boat. We loved our stay and after two nights honestly didn’t want to leave.

It’s a beautiful, quiet place that feels wonderfully far from the island’s bustle. The beach is gorgeous, especially at high tide, with soft sand, clear water, and longtails drifting offshore. The sunrises are unreal. The whole place has a slow, natural feel, with jungle and ocean around and no big crowds or noise. Staff are laid-back, kind, and helpful, and make it easy to want to stay longer. The bungalows are simple and charming, fitting the tropical surroundings well. If you’re after luxury-resort perfection, this isn’t it. For the Phi Phi atmosphere and a proper island reset, though, it delivers. Wi-Fi can be patchy and some facilities could use a little refresh, but once you settle into the rhythm, those things barely matter. Peaceful, authentic, and unforgettable, a hidden gem on Phi Phi.

We spent three nights here as a family, two adults and kids aged 8 and 7. The landscape is beautiful for switching off, and it’s easy to make short visits to the main island, Maya Bay, and other beaches nearby. The resort staff were fantastic and did their best to understand us and help. The bungalows are a bit small, but in paradise all we needed was a bed, shower, and little porch to relax and take in the views. The rooms were tidy and clean, with wonderful views. The restaurant food was tasty, and I thought the prices were very reasonable, especially since there’s nowhere else to go for dinner. I absolutely recommend it to families who want to disconnect, let the kids play safely on the beach, and relax with a Piña colada or a meal at the restaurant. The resort is lovely and looks just like the pictures, maybe even better. Everything was very clean, from the beach and rooms to reception. The staff were helpful, kind, and funny, even if they weren’t smiling every minute. They seem able to do everything: several people drive the long tail boat to pick guests up, help at reception, make drinks at the bar, and put on an amazing fire show. There were sometimes cats, monkeys, and hermit crabs around, all extremely cute. Massages were nice, though not extraordinary. Having one on the beach with waves and wind chimes in the background was relaxing enough that everyone fell asleep. Food was the weak point. It wasn’t terrible, but since you’re pretty much stuck there, you have to eat what’s available. Some dishes were good, but most weren’t. It didn’t bother us much because we were island hopping. Some bungalows are up a hill, though staff kindly carry the luggage without being asked. If you’re not very mobile or have a baby, keep that in mind when booking. It’s a lovely, quiet beach hotel, probably best for a stay of up to four days. We didn’t have lizards or anything in our bungalow. There was a mosquito one night at the restaurant, but that’s normal in a jungle and beach setting. You’re going to see insects and lizards in nature.
