The breakfast buffet was a bright spot, with lots to choose from, and the staff were friendly and seemed helpful. The pool area, known as the beach club, was good too, with a nice poolside bar and decent prices. There was also a ‘secret pool’, though it seemed deserted. Some of the outer areas felt untidy and run down. We stayed two nights in a basic but okay double room above the Main Street. We hadn’t expected the noise, and music carried on until about 2-3am. Our room was also a long way from both breakfast and the beach. The bed was uncomfortable and seemed quite broken, and the shower leaked enough to flood the bathroom. The air conditioning worked fine. It was an okay stay, but parts of the hotel could use some care.

The anniversary cake setup they arranged was lovely, and the location may be one of the best around. Breakfast was good, though service could be better. If you’re eating by the water, getting anything means going all the way inside. Water bottles at the tables would help, and even a coffee machine or carafe station would be useful. The room looked dirty, even though it didn’t seem old. It was dusty, and the taps and shower heads were covered in stains, probably from hard or salty water. We left at 6:00 in the morning with the cleaning tag out, but when we got back around 2:45 p.m., the room still hadn’t been cleaned. It didn’t affect us much since we weren’t in the room for long, but it should have been taken care of by then.

Breakfast was amazing, and the hotel itself had really good amenities. The room was just okay. There’s a huge pool facing the water, and the beach is beautiful with lots of restaurants and bars, though it’s very shallow and not the best for swimming.

I was wary after reading so many bad reviews, but the room was clean and great, and the cleaning staff were lovely. Every hotel employee we met was polite and friendly, and they even picked up our bags from the port. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, and the swimming pool was superb. It costs 100bht for non-guests, while it’s free for hotel guests except for the double sun loungers. The location is sort of ideal, close to the main street and shops, hahhaha. Our room was in block T205, right by the main street, so it was very loud at night until 3-4am. Earplugs came in handy, especially after khao san road lol. PP charlie and PP Princess are separate hotels but combined, and share some facilities. Some fittings were a little dated. With the noise, I couldn’t give it five stars. I’d stay again if they had a quieter room, but I believe that would be PP Pricess.

A little gem right by the beach, with everything conveniently close. The service was great from the front desk, security, and other staff, and the place was clean. Nice beds and a good breakfast too. Definitely worth the money.
