TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao - Adults Only

The beach is unreal, and the food was delicious with plenty to choose from. We also enjoyed the cocktails and wine selection. The only thing I’d change is staying longer, but we’ll be back. Thanks to everyone! This is a gorgeous, remote spot beside a stunning, unspoilt beach. The hotel is amazing, and the spacious treehouse villas are beautifully decorated in a contemporary style. There’s a jacuzzi, sun loungers and a swing downstairs, with lovely rooms, a bed, shower and bath upstairs. Everyone was professional and welcoming, from the managers to the restaurant, room, beach and garden teams.

The restaurant was excellent, serving high-quality food, and the view made the stay feel even more special. The staff were also incredibly kind and attentive, always glad to help. Of all the hotels on our trip, this was easily our favorite. Our villa was beautiful, spacious and very well kept, with a great balance of comfort and luxury. We’d love to return.

We had a great time just relaxing at the resort, so we skipped most of the other excursions, though several looked fun. We did go kayaking and took the snorkel trip, both enjoyable ways to explore a little. The complimentary snorkel outing took us to a National Park that was quite crowded when we visited, something to keep in mind. We still had a good time. We stayed in a Beachfront Villa for our honeymoon and loved it. The rooms are set up so you can stay in if you want, with your own pool, minibar and room service, but there’s plenty to do around the resort if you get restless. We ate at Roots and Al Fresco. Al Fresco was a great experience, though Roots was our favorite. We’d worried that a resort serving international visitors might mean missing local food, but Roots focuses on farm-to-table cooking and local flavors. Breakfast was great too. Don’t miss happy hour at Sundowner. The staff were kind and hospitable, and whenever we needed something in our room, they were there within minutes. Service was fantastic. One thing to know is that the property is shared with a family-friendly resort. Treehouse has its own side and guest-only areas, so it had little effect on our trip. Some restaurants and bars are shared, but Roots isn’t. You can spend time around more people or stick to Treehouse for a quiet, adults-only feel. Our trip from Phuket was easy once we found our driver. At the marina, a team helped with our bags and got us ready for the boat. There’s a nice restaurant to wait at if you arrive early, and the boat ride was smooth with great views. The resort took good care of us when we arrived.

The food was a real highlight. We thought it might be hard to find local dishes at a resort for visitors from around the world, but the Thai food, Asian fusion and Western options were all consistently 10/10. The Pad Thai, Dim Sum and Fresh Rolls were next-level, and the themed buffet nights had lots of variety. There’s plenty to keep you busy, from kayaking and yoga to island trips and cooking classes, but it’s just as easy to switch off and relax. The resort is in a quiet bay beneath beautiful limestone mountains, and the property is spotless and well maintained. We stayed here between business trips and were blown away by the setting and service. The staff make a real effort to look after you. English isn’t everyone’s first language, but that was never a problem and added to the warmth of the place. TreeHouse Villas feels like a peaceful, luxurious escape with a lot of heart. We can’t wait to return.
