The Spa Kohchang Resort

Be ready for mosquitoes and insects since the resort sits in a mangrove forest, but if you love nature, you could happily stay here for a long time. The pool was super clean and had a tropical feel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a cozy place where nature’s atmosphere gets to you right away. They’ve created a retreat and meditation concept, with lovely rooms and garden views, plus their own stories. Guests can join free activities throughout the day, including morning yoga and the steam sauna.

We had lots of choice at meals, and the food was delicious. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated the variety. The kind, welcoming staff were what made the stay feel especially nice. My boyfriend and I loved having somewhere we could slow down and disconnect. Our room was beautifully designed, and waking up to the terrace view was a highlight. There was no need to rush, with activities such as yoga, biking, and kayaking if we wanted to join in, or the option to do nothing at all. A massage or time in the steam room added to the relaxing, reset feeling. I’d definitely recommend it as a peaceful escape, and I’d love to return.

The restaurant food was so good that I didn’t feel the need to go elsewhere, and the staff were extremely kind. I really enjoyed my stay and was a bit sorry to leave. This place is focused on wellness in an authentic way, and the massages and facials were great. There are free daily activities, including yoga, muy thai aerobics, kayaking, and cycling. It’s quite far from the tourist areas, so you feel secluded, which is part of the charm since it’s right in nature. I first booked a standard room but found it too dark for my taste, so I upgraded to a superior room. Those rooms seemed recently renovated, up on the hill, quiet, bright, and with a nice balcony. The bathroom was large, with a bathtub and a nice new rain shower.

The resort feels like a little paradise, with beautiful surroundings and great service. My room was spacious, spotless, and had everything I needed. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and always made me feel welcome. I had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back. I’d highly recommend it for a relaxing, memorable getaway.
