Baan Busaba Hotel

The location was good, and at first the staff were very helpful, trying to find me a suitable room during the busy Xmas/NYE period. I was first put in a bungalow that was extremely dark, with a wet-room toilet and shower. I could hear everything around it, including the water pumping outside. I told them the noise was too much, and they kindly agreed to refund me if I checked out. I couldn’t find another option, so I stayed one night in room 101 on the ground floor, which was much better. It’s quiet and cheap, and the location is a plus. The room feels like it has no window because it’s so dark. At checkout, the woman tried to find a problem with an old pillow so she wouldn’t return my key deposit. That was childish, and the owner said the pillow was old, not damaged by me. Not a great experience, but it’s okay if you’re on a budget and only need a bed for the night.

It’s a quiet hotel in a good location, and the staff are really friendly. The place isn’t new, but the rooms and beds are clean and fresh. Recommended.

There was mold all over the room. The pool is beside a dirty canal, and it smells.

We slept well because the rooms were quiet, the beds and rooms were clean, and the AC worked well without much noise. The hotel is dated, and the pool wasn’t as clean as it should be. If you expected a modern hotel with a nice pool, you didn’t do your homework when booking. It depends what you’re comparing it with. We came during the full-moon, when everything was booked out. This place cost 60€/night, expensive by local standards, but cheap with everything full and hostel beds going for 50€/ night. Compared to a hostel bed, I’d call it 5* 👌🏽
